Instructions for loading Dick Viti's Key Files (tab-key entries) into HomePuter
After you have installed HomePuter software on your computer, you can add the Key Files which will provide you with Dick Viti's standard tab-key entries (you can add or delete files later). Instructions assume that your Program Files are on drive "C" and that your floppy drive is labeled "A". Also, that you have downloaded and installed the free evaluation Winzip program .
|
| Insert the AREA diskette into drive "A". Right-click the Start Button and Click "Explore". Explore drive "A" and locate the "Key Files" zip folder. Double click the Key Files folder and "extract" to "c:\Program Files\HomePuter\FPS". If asked to overwrite key files, click "yes to all". The next time that you open HomePuter FPS you will have standard reponses to many of the fields by pressing the "tab" key. |
Instructions for the other Homeputer files
For other forms, it will be necessary to have the HomePuter software open and running (be sure to change your "setting" to "17" characters). For example, to open the URAR skeleton form, first "select form" and select the "Uniform Residential Appraisal Report" - once that is open, you can "get" the URAR skeleton file from the AREA diskette. You will also be able to open the homework file in that form. For the Addendum A, B, and the Questionaire you will have to "select form" and select "misc 2" and select "cover or addendum page" - once that is open, you will be able to "get" the addendum files or the questionaire file from the diskette in your drive "A". |
